Sprott: Maintaining Current G/S Ratio 'Mathematically Impossible' In an extensive interview posted on Seeking Alpha , Eric Sprott reiterates his contention that " This will be the decade of silver ," with the gold/silver ratio, which is currently at about 52 to 1 , eventually returning to a 16 to 1 level. He says that "buying for silver by the public is almost on a ratio of dollars of silver being bought to dollars of gold being bought," and points to recent U.S. Mint data showing that "they sold 50 times the number of silver to gold coins.
