Thank author of this post/commentA recent Seeking Alpha post headlined " The Gold vs. Silver Dilemma ," marshals arguments favoring the latter: "The gold-to-silver ratio is approximately 52 to 1. [ now below 50 ] Many longtime silver bulls, including Eric Sprott, [recent interviews here and here ] believe the gold-to-silver ratio should be closer to the 15 to 1, approximately the ratio in the earth's crust." It goes on to contend that "physical buyers prefer silver simply due to the cost per ounce.
